Brody von Borken

Brody von Borken is a handsome, exuberant 4-month-old German Shepherd (mix?) puppy.  Eventually he will grow into his big shepherd ears.  This smart boy learns quickly:  he is crate-trained and nearly completely housetrained and, for the promise of a treat, he will quickly sit, lie down and offer his paw.   His puppy playfulness inspires him to chew anything he fancies, which could include your fingers and toes and, although he is not a vegetarian, he may try to sample the greenery in your yard.  When he is told NO, he immediately backs off and looks at you with his soulful brown eyes, and then resorts to playing with his toys.  Between play sessions he settles down close to you to take a nap.  He is a quiet and mannerly puppy in the car and, even at his young age, he has a strong "big boy" bark.   Brody is special because, at 2 months of age, he survived a vicious attack by another dog; it hurt him so badly that it broke his elbow and dislocated his leg.  Brody's owners told their vet to euthanize him but, instead, WGSR rescued him and healed his wounds.  He is doing fine and will be a big boy when fully grown, but he may have a slight limp in the future.
